Looking for a job in the arts? This free (with RSVP!) online workshop will cover best practices for putting together your application, as well as an inside perspective as to what hiring managers are looking for.
In this session, we’ll cover:
- Crafting a cover letter: including the most common mistakes, and how to avoid them
- Resume tips: industry standards and formatting
- How to “beat” the ATS: an overview of how Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), or AI screening systems, work and how to ensure your resume is seen by a real human being
- Current trends in the arts and cultural job market: insights into this particularly precarious market

About the Presenters
Jane Cho (she/her) is a passionate arts advocate and organizational strategist with over 20 years of experience in higher education and cultural institutions. She currently serves as Director of Administration at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, guiding the school’s administration, finance, operations, and accreditation. Her previous leadership roles include Director of Administration at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College and Interim Director of Career Development at The Juilliard School, where she championed opportunities for emerging artists.
Sarah Bailey Hogarty is a marketing and digital content executive with 15+ years of experience leading creative storytelling, digital transformation, and audience-centric brand strategies for museums and cultural institutions. As a strategic thinker and people leader, she designs and delivers high-impact content and editorial programs, integrated marketing campaigns, and digital initiatives that amplify mission, deepen engagement, and strengthen brand presence.
At Transformari, Sean helps organizations design teams, recruit leaders, and navigate transformational growth. As Founding Partner of MOC Innovations and a Board Member at Midnight Oil Collective, he builds and invests in ecosystems at the intersection of arts, culture, and inclusive economic development. Currently Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Yale University, Sean advises on venture scaling, talent strategy, and capital pathways for bold, high-growth initiatives. His career spans executive search, human capital strategy, and startup talent leadership.
