Announcing Complimentary 1-on-1 NYFA Career Advice Sessions For Single Mother Visual Artists

Are you a visual artist and single mother? NYFA is pleased to offer a limited number of complimentary career advice sessions for this population, thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor! Meet with one of our arts industry experts for a tailored, 40 minute one-on-one career advice session through our NYFA Coaching and Consulting Program.

Visual artists who identify as single mothers can choose from our roster of 16 NYFA Coaches and Consultants to receive expert, one-on-one career advice on a variety of topics, including:

  • Artist Statements
  • Career Planning
  • Leadership Development
  • Fundraising
  • Marketing
  • Job Applications
  • Portfolio Reviews

How to Claim Your Complimentary Session 

If you’re interested in a complimentary session, please fill out the interest form below at your earliest convenience! 

NYFA Learning will then email you to let you know if you received a complimentary session! See more information on the process below.

Interest Form

Process

Complimentary sessions will be issued on a first-come, first served basis. We anticipate high interest in this program, so sessions will be released in batches at the beginning of each month. Please note: due to the limited availability and anticipated popular demand, you are not guaranteed a session.

Once you fill out the interest form above, NYFA Learning will then email you to let you know if you received a complimentary session! 

Sessions will be released and artists will be notified if they received a complimentary session on the following dates: 

  • Batch 1 Sessions
    • March 17: Deadline to complete interest form for Batch 1
    • March 20: Artist notification via email
  • Batch 2 Sessions
    • April 1: Deadline to complete interest form for Batch 2
    • April 7: Artist notification via email
  • Batch 3 Sessions
    • May 1: Deadline to  to complete interest form for Batch 3
    • May 5: Artist notification via email
  • Batch 4 Sessions
    • June 1: Deadline to  to complete interest form for Batch 4
    • June 9: Artist notification via email

When you fill out the interest form will determine your notification date. To be considered for complimentary sessions issued that month, please complete the form by that month’s deadline (ex: by March 17 for the March 20 notification). If you miss the deadline for that month, simply fill out the form at your earliest convenience and you will be considered for the following month.
